'Jet lane' on the NCN22 to allow cyclists to easily join the on-road lane at the end of the shared cycle path leaving Langstone Technology Park.
"End of Cycle Route" always seems a bit of a badly-worded sign since NCN22 as a route continues along Brookside Road. All that has changed is that it's gone from off-road path to on-road lanes. At least the NCN22 signing is pretty clear.
Non-reflective bollard! But this section of the NCN22 is a former part of Brockhampton Lane (severed when the A27 bypass was built in the 1960s), so is probably invitingly wide.
NCN22 heads westwards, south of the A27 on a well lit path which is often shared with workers from the adjacent Langstone Technology Park on their breaks.
The NCN22 passes under the A27 trunk road in this cavernous waterside underpass, complete with historic countryside murals. This section of route is 'cyclists dismount' for obvious reasons!
This modern replica (not very good) marks the site of the former Havant Mill which was demolished when the A27 bypass was built in the 1960s (photo taken under the slip road bridge). This section of the NCN22 is 'cyclists dismount'.
